Known also as Hyperadrenocorticism, this condition is a result of the overproduction of cortisol. This can cause impaired stress response and immune system function, leading to obesity, thirst, bruising, hunger, panting, and more.

2. Hives or Rashes

These issues can develop from a wide range of potential allergens, including medications, plants, insect bites or stings, shampoos, and other substances. The location of the allergen infiltration is likely where fur will fall out.

3. Mange

This common disease is caused by a mite known as the Demodex mite, which burrows into the skin. High numbers of them lead to fur damage, as well as infections, lesions, and other problems.

4. Allergies

Lots of dogs deal with allergies. They can develop allergic reactions to food, fleas, and other irritants, leading to excessive scratching and biting. This will then cause hair fall.

5. Ringworm

This infection comes from a fungus and grows in the hair follicles and skin. It typically only affects some spots on the body, and it’s infectious and spreads through a wide range of methods.

If you notice that your dog is losing fur, it’s a good idea to bring them to a vet to figure out what the problem is. They may need medical treatment.
