Woman Adopts Tiny Rescue Dog And Discovers She Quacks Like A Duck

Kelsey got a call one day concerning a Teacup Yorkie who needed a foster home. The tiny dog, named Pipsqueak, weighed just 1.8 pounds and was rescued from a puppy mill.

Pipsqueak was suffering various health issues and had been given only around 6 months to live. She needed the foster home to live out the last few months of her life. Kelsey quickly set up a safe, temporary home and was ready to help her get settled.

When Kelsey brought Pipsqueak home, she doubted whether anyone would want to adopt the pup due to her short lifespan. So she and her husband decided to make Pipsqueak comfortable and help her enjoy her last few months.

After Pipsqueak settled into her new home, she became vocal and often quacked like a duck. Kelsey and her husband thought, “There is something seriously wrong with this dog.” With time, they realized that quacking was her natural way of barking.

Although Pipsqueak deals with several medical issues each day, Kelsey describes her as being “so happy” and full of life.

Eventually, six months passed, and the months turned into eight years, yet Pipsqueak is still alive and strong. The dog has inspired Kelsey and her husband to adopt more special-needs dogs, including 6 small dogs that are seniors.
