Woman Rescues Abandoned Pit Bull From Train Tracks Seconds Before Train

Nina Love is a woman whose goal is to help as many dogs as she can. She rescues abandoned dogs from the streets of Philadelphia and works to ensure they have a better life. Still, one of her recent rescues almost ended tragically.

Love was informed that a pit bull was abandoned near some railroad tracks. She knew how dangerous that environment could be, so she hurried to get to the place as soon as possible. She knew a train was about to pass through that area, so she ran to get there before the train.

When she got there, she noticed the pit bull was frightened and, when she saw Love, she tried to get away, running further down the tracks. Love figured she wouldn’t be able to get to her alone, so she called a friend to bring her dog, teddy, to assist in the rescue.

With the help of Teddy, who was a reassuring presence for the stray, Love managed to get to the pit bull and save her. But she was so focused on the task at hand that she didn’t hear the train coming. They got off the tracks only seconds before the train could hit them.

Even though it could have been a disaster, Love would never stop doing what she does because she knows how important her work is. The rescue, Xena, was examined by a veterinarian. They concluded she was probably abused in the past.

Fortunately, Love made sure Xena was taken to a safe and loving foster home, where the pup is now thriving.
