Tucker, a 2-year-old German shepherd, has been through a lot. Animal advocates are working to raise money to pay for medical care for this neglected shepherd.
Tucker is currently at the VCA Animal Hospital in Hollywood, CA, where he is receiving care. According to Dr. David Shapiro, the shepherd will survive but it will be a lengthy, painful and costly road.
“He has pressure sores that are so deep, it’s almost exposing the underlying bones,” Shapiro told CBS 4’s Carey Codd. “Just the neglect from not eating, from having these wounds that are so deep, he’s got to be in a lot of pain.”
Needless to say, dog lovers everywhere are enraged that someone would let Tucker get in this condition but everyone is glad he is in a safe place now where he will receive the care and attention he needs.
